The road to Hull is paved with good intentions.

Day 1. Had a nice ride up to Broadbottom on the side of canals and cycle paths. It’s surprising how far you can go without going on any roads only having to contend with so many people milling about likes it’s a bank holiday or something.

Camping wild next to a woodhead reservoir probably wasn’t the best idea as the midges found me (once i wad in my hammock i was ok but still got chewed on a bit) but it had started raining and the next bit involves a bit of a climb. All told 70 miles covered.
