Day 166. Sofia to Plovdiv.

9th of November. The Ocho.

Leave Sofia fairly early and wasn’t as bad as I was dreading. Bulgaria built roads with the anticipation of lots of cars. So a brief ride down the bus lane of a four lane carriageway and I turn off the main road onto a smaller road and then onto the number 8. This is the road I will ride all the way to the border town kapitan Andreevo. It runs parallel to the main road. For some I’m the only person on it, later its mad busy coming into Plovdiv. On route I meet a cyclist on his way home to Austria after 3 and half years on the road. I’m slightly jealous all the roads not taken and such. I didn’t really plan on making Plovdiv but I make the 100 miles fairly easy. This place looks amazing wish i had more time here.
